Report of the Fifth Session of the UNESCO Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage (Nairobi 15-19 November 2010)

On the 16th of November 1946 the Constitution of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization was adopted in London. The opening sentence of this constitution was to be cited in the following decades as the Unesco hymn « since wars begin in the minds of men, it is in the minds of men that the defenses of peace must be constructed ».
